Chamber Unveils New Affordable Online Advertising Opportunities Program
SOLANA BEACH (Thursday,
March 13, 2008) – The Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce has
enhanced its website, SolanaBeachChamber.com, with new features,
current information and a new affordable online advertisement program.
The
enhanced website is designed to be more user-friendly for both
individuals and businesses. The site’s homepage includes new
features such as local government links, Solana Beach
community links to job, relocation, visitor, tourist attraction and
city information, links to local news organizations and a list of monthly
new members. Updates also include the Points of Interest, Members
Directory, Events and Sundowners pages.
“Enhancing
the website will be an ongoing process, as we are beginning to put our
full efforts into developing a wonderful online resource for Solana Beach,” said Chamber
President David L. Carroll. “We want SolanaBeachChamber.com to be
the pre-eminent site for our community and tourists to visit for
information about our great city.”
The
Chamber also unveiled its new online advertising program for Chamber
members. The program provides very affordable advertising opportunities
on SolanaBeachChamber.com. Advertising with the Solana Beach Chamber is
a great way for businesses to reach a tremendous “target
market,” their Solana
Beach neighbors,
business partners, families, tourists and customers.

DINNER AT LOMAS SANTA FE C.C.
Chamber Honors Awards to Various
Businesses and Individuals
2008 Board of Directors Sworn in By Solana Beach

SOLANA
BEACH (Wednesday, March 5, 2008) – The Solana Beach Chamber of
Commerce held it annual Installation of Officers and Awards Dinner on
Thursday, February 28 at the Lomas Santa Fe Country Club. The event
featured the installation of the Board of Directors and the
announcement of the Chamber’s annual award winners.
The
Honorable Joseph G. Kellejian, Mayor of Solana Beach, officiated at the
formal swearing in of the new Board of Directors for the Chamber of
Commerce. Many civic and local political officials were in attendance
to help celebrate the annual event.
The
Chamber also announced its annual award winners, which are voted on by
the Chamber membership. The Business of the Year Award went to the
California Pizza Kitchen, Solana
Beach. Moriah
Baker, Back House Manager & Marketing Director, accepted the honor
for the restaurant. Longtime
journalist and Coast News columnist Bill Arballo was named the Citizen
of the Year. The Ambassador of the Year award was garnered by Cory
Moore, Iron Stone Bank Vice President & Financial Services Manager.
Solana
Beach Chamber Director Frida Silveira and board member Susie Bruun,
orchestrated the annual affair which produced the largest crowd ever to
attend this event. Guests were entertained by vocalist, Tommy De Soto
of The Seventh Child. Each attendee had their moment on the
‘floating microphone’ to introduce themselves. The popular
segment, hosted by MC David L/ Carroll, produced much laughter and
enjoyment for the over 90 people in attendance.

2008 FESTIVAL KICKS OFF
THE SUMMER IN SOLANA BEACH ON JUNE 7 & 8

Bring World Class Entertainment

and Booths
(SOLANA BEACH) – The Solana Beach
Chamber of Commerce, The City of Solana Beach and the Belly Up
announced today that the 2008 Fiesta del Sol Festival, to be held on
the weekend of June 7 and 8, 2008 adjacent to the renovated Fletcher
Cove, will be bigger than ever before.
Reuniting after several years, the Solana Beach Chamber and the
Belly Up booking & marketing divisions will take the 29th annual
event to a new level.”
The
Belly Up, in conjunction with the Chamber, will oversee entertainment
booking, advertising, public relations and sponsorship for the Fiesta
del Sol. “The Solana Beach Chamber enthusiastically welcomes the
'Marriage of Talents' with the Belly Up
management team to bring outstanding musical performers to our
2008 Fiesta Del Sol stage,” said Solana Beach Chamber President
David L. Carroll. “The Belly Up is unsurpassed in their ability
to book fun bands that will please everyone's palate. Great things are
coming for people of all ages who anticipate another wonderful weekend
in Solana
Beach,"
continued Carroll.

Goldberg, Belly Up co-owner stated, "With 34 years of presenting
world-class entertainment in Solana
Beach, it makes
perfect sense for both the Belly Up and the Chamber to be working
together on Fiesta Del Sol."
Fiesta
del Sol is open to all ages and the entertainment is free. The event
hosts an international food court and beer garden for those over 21.
Arts and crafts booths will line the adjacent streets of Solana Beach each day from 9 a.m. to 5
p.m. In addition to those booths, non-profit organizations will have
informational booths. There will be plenty of activities for children
throughout the day. Saturday guests are urged to use the Coaster for
convenience. Free parking and shuttle bus service are also planned.
